We're about to start building a game-changing SaaS product from scratch with an amazing team of experienced product people. Hence, we're looking for people with an appetite to figure things out as we build the product for the first couple of customers who are excited to use it as soon as we're ready. Obeyo is the first operating system and community app for residential living where operations and community go hand in hand. It provides actionable data, insights, and automation to reduce operating costs and address key challenges faced by operators. By creating a meaningful social living experience, Obeyo also aims to tackle the loneliness factor and set a new global standard for shared living.

As a Senior Full Stack developer, you will operate as the team lead. You should be comfortable with a leading role in both a functional and technical sense. Obeyo will be a feature-rich SaaS application. We'll use Postgres, Express, React, NodeJS (PERN) including frameworks such as NextJS and Tailwind. Additionally, we'll develop mobile apps for both iOS and Android React Native to accomplish this. As a team lead, you will have the following responsibilities and goals:

  • Successful setup of the whole DTAP corridor;
  • Scalable setup of the hosted application based on AWS or a comparable cloud service provider;
  • Robust data model with support for migration, forwards and backward;
  • CD/CI allows for quick fixes with the ability to check features and improvements on a staging environment;
  • The SaaS application meets industry standards for scalable SaaS applications on which small teams collaborate.


  • You have significant experience building software applications using NodeJS, Express;
  • You have relevant experience with React and PostgresSQL;
  • You feel comfortable building up a tech stack, CD/CI environment, data model, and coding patterns which are maintainable and scalable;
  • You have significant experience leading small development teams based on any agile work practices;
  • You have some experience implementing third-party services such as Auth0 and Stripe;
  • You have great communication and writing skills;
  • You have the tendency to document work, place comments in code, update unit tests, set coding conventions;
  • You have a track record of leading by example, planning and scoping realistically, and delivering work on time.

Hard Requirements

  • You have a European passport or a long-term visa for the Netherlands.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably on an international level.
  • You write and speak perfect English.
