Responsibilities

As the first hire of our sales team, the future of living will be in your hands. Within our international and quickly growing team, you’ll be working alongside our founder to grow into a sales role. This puts the future growth of our Obeyo ecosystem at the heart of what you are doing: connecting with future clients, partners, members and residents, and the wider shared living field. You will be responsible for:

  • Find new and connect with incoming MQLs (current and upcoming shared living operators) to build your own sales pipeline and meet your sales target.
  • Identify high potential prospects and ensure they are well qualified leads, meeting key guidelines for a quality lead.
  • Create the needed materials such as articles, that support you in the sales process.
  • Feedback your insights to the product and marketing teams.
  • Visit and speak at conferences, workshops, and webinars to share our story.
  • Continuously improve our processes and your own craft.

Requirements

  • First experiences in business development, SaaS, or real estate.
  • Passionate about sales and community building.
  • Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to follow up and follow through.
  • Fluent in English is a requirement, an additional language a plus.
  • Knowledge and a vision for the future of residential living, in particular in the student - and/or coliving niche.
  • Eager to grow alongside a growing team.

A day in your life as Business Developer

  • 9:00 - daily stand-up with the team to tackle the day
  • 9:15 - following-up on outstanding offers, emails, pending things
  • 11:00 - call with a potential client to learn about their needs and see if we could help
  • 11:30 - check-in with launching customers to get their feedback on new user flows
  • 12:00 - lunch and catching up with your colleagues
  • 12:30 - catch-up with the marketing team to work our the new case study for the UK market
  • 13:00 - scouting for new customers: researching contact information, calling operators
  • 16:00 - writing content for articles, webinars, or conferences
  • 17:00 - updating outstanding activities to wrap up the day
  • 17:15 - daily debrief to celebrate successes and sort out potential challenges
